Teacher Certification Office

Regional certification offices are operated by Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) and a limited number of offices are open to the public. You should telephone in advance to determine availability. The certification specialists can advise on requirements for certification, evaluate credentials, and offer expedited processing of applications.

The Monroe #1 BOCES Regional Certification Office provides assistance to component school districts on the eastside of the Genesee River.

Please note:
For teachers from non-component school districts who utilize this certification service, there is a $30.00 fee.
