Consultant Teacher and Tutoring Services

Overview

As Consultant Teacher and Tutoring Services teachers, we will utilize our diverse areas of expertise to enable students to reach educational goals when unable to attend school.

We collaborate with the school districts to develop academic services that anticipate individual student needs and provide quality instruction in a cost effective way.

Our goal is to offer a consistent educational experience in a responsive, creative way that will empower students to reach their fullest potential.

Services

Request for Cross-Contract Services and Request Form

Academic Intervention Services (AIS) - special education or regular education teachers in school district building locations

Approved New York State Title 1 Supplemental Education Service Provider (LSES) - under the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB)

Medical - special education or regular education teachers in area hospitals or the student's home

Special Education Consultant Teacher Services - teachers provide special education support and academic tutoring for students in area non-public schools

Suspension - special education or regular education teachers in various school district locations, in the student’s home or in the classrooms at the Foreman Center, Fairport and the East Irondequoit Tutoring Center

Transition Services - special education or regular education teachers in various school district locations or the student's home while waiting for a change in program

Hematology/Oncology Educational Liaison Program (H.E.L.P.) is a very special resource for children with cancer and related disorders. It is a partnership between Monroe #1 BOCES, and The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at The Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong in Rochester, New York.

H.E.L.P. is provided to all children and families seen at the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital at Strong. H.E.L.P. assists in meeting the developmental and educational needs of children undergoing cancer treatment. H.E.L.P.’s goal is to share information and give practical assistance to parents and schools regarding childhood cancer and its impact on academic and social development
