Instruction and Technology

Arts in Education Programs provide services for teachers and students in support of the New York State Learning Standards. Our menu of services includes BOCES Art (BART), BOCES Exploratory Enrichment (BEE), and Celebrities in Schools (CIS).

Students "fly" their Mission to Mars simulation, and not only do they have fun, but they also exercise the development of their Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) process skills by completing curriculum-based activities aligned with New York State Learning Standards.

Distance Learning delivers dynamic e-learning solutions, virtual programs, and professional development that expand access, spark engagement, and enrich education for both students and educators.

Student Overdrive Reading App (SORA) and OverDrive Classic are available for educators and students to access our ebook and audiobook collection.

Monroe RIC will work directly with High School Esport League (HSEL) to offer teams a variety of games for grades 9–12. HSEL provides the safe online platform for student interaction and organization of games and tournaments...

The Imaging Center provides high quality, low-cost copying and finishing services to Monroe One departments and component districts.

The BOCES Multimedia Service (a.k.a. iMedia) offers various multimedia opportunities to students and teachers in 9 participating districts. The four major components to BOCES iMedia are Video on Demand, Digital Media, Booking Media, and Video Production...

The RIC provides services to its 19 component school districts and two BOCES. These services support the administrative and technical functions of each participating organization.

The Music Library contains over 5,750 titles of choral, band, orchestra, string orchestra, jazz band and jazz vocal music which can be borrowed by those who are paying members of the library service. 

This service distributes textbook materials as loans to students attending private schools enrolled in grades K-12 on behalf of their home school districts in accordance with New York State Department of Education Law Section 701.

Section 711 of NYS Department of Education Law provide a program in which public school districts purchase and loan school library materials required for use as a learning aid in a particular class or program..

WBER is owned and operated by Monroe One BOCES, and is a real-life training ground for students from participating school districts via their radio clubs, as well as members of the community interested in learning about radio broadcasting.
