Coaches Training

Monroe RIC will provide coaches training for all participating districts. This may be face-to-face or virtual depending on school closures. All Esports Clubs must have a district faculty member as the coach/supervisor of the club.

Coaching Requirements:

• Must be a district faculty member
   

• District Employee compliant with NYS Educator requirements such as DASA, Finger Print Clearance, NYS Sexual Harassment Training, Blood Born Pathogen
   

• Attend Coaches meetings
   

• Provide digital guidance
   

• Schedule practices, games, and tournaments
   

• Supervision of practices, games, and tournaments
   

• Ensure coach has necessary training such as CPR

Coaches Training Includes:

• Provide best practices for Esport Team Practice Structure
   

• Section V Coaches training
   

• Best practices to ingrate the Next Gen Science Standards, Next Gen ELA Standards, Social Emotional Learning Standards, and the NYS Computer Science & Digital Fluency Standards
   

• Recommended addendum to district student athlete handbook to include eSports contingent to Esports inclusion in Section V and NYSPHSAA
