Mission

eSTART works collaboratively to nurture strong emotional and educational foundations for all students according to their strengths and talents in a safe and inclusive environment.​​

Vision

To create and foster a safe and inclusive environment, the eSTART community recognizes students’ individual strengths, talents, interests, and learning styles. We are here to teach, learn, and grow together.

eSTART is a unique program that offers students the opportunity to work with teachers in the classroom, to meet their NYS graduation requirements, while also having the support of a team of full-time clinicians from Hillside directly in the school. Each student is assigned a clinician who will be their primary go-to person for social-emotional needs during the school day, for the duration of the time they are at eSTART. Students that attend eSTART should have a mental health provider in the community, as they will be the ones directing treatment and providing support for medications. Parents are partners in every aspect of the service delivery, from initial planning and throughout their child’s placement in the program.
