Cosmetology Students Shine at College and Career Information Night

Four Cosmetology students smile with their Volunteer Appreciation Certificates.

Four students from EMCC’s Cosmetology program showcased their talents and professionalism during Fairport High School's College and Career Information Night on November 14. Alyssa B., Ash G., Megan E., and Sophia S. volunteered their time to represent the program at this after-school event, earning high praise for their efforts.

The students demonstrated various hairstyling techniques using mannequins and shared insights into their experiences in the Cosmetology program.

“They were very helpful, engaging with parents and students, and they just hit the ball out of the park,” said school counselor Amy Spindler.

In recognition of their contributions, Amy presented each student with a Volunteer Appreciation Certificate and gathered them for a celebratory photo.

By participating in this event, the students not only highlighted their skills but also helped peers and families explore Cosmetology as an exciting career path after high school.
