Dr. Hauber announced as next District Superintendent

The Monroe One Board of Education has selected Dr. Cathy Hauber as the next District Superintendent. She will be formally appointed during the Board of Education meeting on May 8 and officially step into her new role on July 1, 2025, following the retirement of District Superintendent Dan White.

Dr. Hauber currently serves as Monroe One’s Deputy District Superintendent. Her proven leadership and deep knowledge of Monroe One make her uniquely suited for this role – qualities that align with the priorities many staff, students, and families shared during our surveys and listening sessions with our search consultant.

“Dr. Hauber’s collaborative spirit and deep understanding of the staff, students, and districts we serve stood out throughout this process. The Board is confident in her ability to continue building on Monroe One’s strong foundation while leading us into the future,” said Board President Kim McCluski said.

Throughout her career, Dr. Hauber has collaborated with regional and statewide partners to develop teacher leadership models, strengthen school cultures, and champion personalized learning and collaborative practices.

The Board extends its gratitude to Kevin MacDonald, Genesee Valley BOCES District Superintendent, for guiding Monroe One through a thoughtful and thorough search process.
