ROCtheChange Game Jam open to area students in grades 8-12

During the free event, students will be able to learn about programming and creating video games, all centered around a theme of social change.

The ROCtheChange Game Jam is hosted by AT&T and RIT. It will be held on January 15 and open to all students in grades 8-12.

The organizers picked January 15 to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It will challenge local high school students to develop functional digital video games that have an overarching theme of social change and social good in honor of Dr. King’s lasting mark on America.

When: January 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Where: RIT Golisano Building, #70 located at 152 Lomb Memorial Drive, Rochester NY 14623

Who: students in grades 8-12

How much: Free! All technology will be provided to students as well.
