EMCC students running SkillsUSA toiletry drive

EMCC students Grace Stephens (Fairport) and Alphonso Rosenbaum (Pittsford) are conducting a toiletry drive to benefit local homeless shelters. With help from EMCC student Alex Vuittonet (Pittsford), the toiletry drive is for the SkillsUSA Community Action Project that leads to the SkillsUSA state competition next month.

They are interested in collecting the following toiletries: combs, bar and liquid soap, tampons, sanitary pads, shaving cream, toilet paper, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. Please do not donate razors for the safety of the school and students. Staff and community members who would like to donate to the drive may place items in the large blue bin outside of EMCC in the bus loop from March 11–April 5. It is easily accessible and you can donate right from your vehicle.

Stephens, Rosenbaum and Vuittonet are all juniors. Stephens is training in cosmetology while Rosenbaum and Vuittonet are training in Automated Manufacturing and Machining.
