School closure update

March 18, 2020

To all Monroe One BOCES families and staff -

Governor Cuomo recently signed an executive order directing all schools to be closed for at least two weeks beginning Wednesday, March 18 through Wednesday, April 1.

This means Monroe One BOCES will remain closed to students. However, the opening date could be pushed back depending on the constantly changing situation surrounding COVID-19, known as the coronavirus.

We will continue to monitor new developments and take direction from local and state health officials. With their guidance, we will continue to provide you weekly updates as we get a better understanding of when schools will officially reopen.

Thank you for your continued understanding and patience as we all navigate this together.

As always, resources can be found at Monroe.edu/CoronavirusResources

This includes information from the Department of Health, updates from Monroe One BOCES, and on meal distribution sites for students in Monroe County.
