STAFF INFORMATION: telemedicine visits now covered

Telemedicine Coverage For Staff

Monroe One BOCES received an update from Excellus BCBS noting all telemedicine visits related to COVID-19 will now be covered in full. This is true for all plans including the High Deductible Health Plan and Bronze plans.

Telemedicine is the practice of caring for patients remotely, when the provider and patient are not physically in the same room together.

Any other type of telemedicine visits will be covered at the same cost share as before ($10 copay for Select, Value and Extended plans, and $40 charge for HDHP and Bronze plans).

This video from ExcellusBCBS breaks down how to use telemedicine.
