Creekside students perform at 2021 Holiday Concert Series

Students from Creekside performed at the Monroe County Office Building during the opening week of the Holiday Concert Series.

The steel drum band, led by Music Therapist Sarah Wendl, was invited to attend the 2021 Holiday Concert Series, put on by County Executive Adam Bello.

The holiday lights set the stage for the band to perform, quickly luring workers and guests out of their offices to watch.

Students were greeted by Legislator John Burns Baynes, who himself has a background in education and taught at Fairport High School for 39 years.

The steel drum band performed for 30 minutes, showcasing the songs they’ve been practicing and giving their second public performance since the start of the pandemic.

Videos are also available on the Monroe One Facebook and Instagram pages.

Monroe One would like to express its appreciation for the Music Therapists, Operations & Maintenance staff, and Creekside staff who made this public performance possible.
