Your family may be able to get money to put towards your internet service every month.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has the Affordable Connectivity Program. This program provides financial assistance for broadband. Its goal is to help people afford the internet access they need for work, school, healthcare, and more.

Eligible families can get a discount of up to $30 a month toward internet service. It may also provide up to $100 to buy a new laptop, computer, or tablet.

If your family participates in the Free and Reduced-Price school lunch or breakfast programs, you should be qualified for this monthly assistance.

Households who have at least one member who participates in SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, SSI, Lifeline, or Federal Housing Assistance are also eligible.

To see if your family is able to participate in the Affordable Connectivity Program, visit FCC.gov/ACP.

There are only two steps to enroll:

1. Go to GetInternet.Gov to submit your application.
2. Contact your preferred participating provider to select a plan and have the discount applied.
