Monroe One's Assistant Superintendent honored with career award

Monroe One BOCES proudly announces that Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations, Lisa Ryan, has been honored with the Philip B. Fredenburg Memorial Award for Outstanding Service by the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO). This prestigious honor - known as ASBO’s School Business Official Career Award - recognizes individuals whose long-standing contributions have positively impacted the association, its members, and the entire profession.

Lisa will retire at the end of June after more than three decades of dedicated service in school business administration. As part of the award, ASBO will provide a donation to Monroe One BOCES in Lisa’s name to be used for student equipment, scholarships, or similar initiatives.

Lisa joined Monroe One in 2010 as Business Manager, later becoming Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations. Her commitment to excellence and fiscal responsibility has played a vital role in supporting programs and services that benefit students and staff throughout the region.

Over the years, she has held leadership positions in several districts and BOCES. In addition to her role at Monroe One, Lisa has contributed her expertise to various statewide committees and boards, including the New York State Association of School Business Officials, where she has served on the membership committee since 2006.

We thank Lisa for her remarkable service and congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition. The work she has led behind-the-scenes here at Monroe One will continue to benefit students for years to come.
