Summer Camp Details

  • Students attending the Challenger Summer Camp will “fly” two missions to Mars, experience a Planetarium show, video conference live with an actual NASA engineer, create a stop motion animated movie, create a podcast, and much more. When they are not part of a flight crew on a simulated mission, students are engineers and scientists designing vehicles and simple machines to be used on the surface of Mars. Like real engineers and scientists, campers will follow specific NASA guidelines such as cost effectiveness and durability. By the end of camp, students will have experienced some of the challenges actual NASA astronauts, engineers and scientists face.

Camps are provided for students entering grades 4, 5, 6 and 7 in the Fall.

Due to Challenger's move at the conclusion of the 2018-19 school year, we are unable to offer summer camp in 2019.

Check back with us soon though...big surprises await!
