On October 3rd students participated in the Heart Walk at the U of R. Our classroom raised over $600.00 dollars for the Heart Association! We are very proud of this accomplishment and all their hard work!
We had a beautiful day for our walk. We walked with the U of R Transition Program, Mr. Esder's class, Mrs. Breeze's class and the transition students from St. John Fisher. We walked around the U of R Campus for about an hour and a half. We then went to lunch at the Susan B. Anthony Cafeteria where students had a wide variety of items to choose from such as a grilled chicken sandwich, Chinese, salad bar, soups, paninis, pizza, ribs, fresh fruit and desserts. After lunch students had some time to spend in the Campus Center game room.
Everyone enjoyed the walk and socializing with peers. It was a great time to see friends from the other classes and practice many of the skills we work on in the classroom.
