2021 United Way Campaign
Built Together. Built Strong: Our United Way Campaign from May 1 through May 28
Dear Monroe One Staff,
This month, we are joining together with the United Way of Greater Rochester for its 2021 campaign ‘Built Together. Built Strong’. In a time when ‘remote’ and ‘socially distanced’ remain part of our everyday vocabulary, it is even more important to come together as we can. There are new opportunities to create a true impact for our community members who need our support.
Built together, built strong. You can be part of building something greater, as we all work collectively to refocus and rebuild.
For Monoe One BOCES, that includes our workplace campaign to raise money to help our fellow Rochesterians in need. Your support of United Way’s Community Impact Fund enables it to run to community challenges like COVID-19 and racial injustice, while strengthening the foundational building blocks that make a community strong.
- $1 a week – Round-trip transportation service for local older adults
- $2 a week – After-school fun and learning for local kids
- $5 a week – Nutritious meals for local homebound older adults
- $10 a week – Counseling services for local teens and children
- $20 a week – Food for hungry families
Our campaign will run from May 1 through May 28.
Each new or increased donation will be matched, dollar-for-dollar up to $450,000, thanks to a Stronger Together Challenge Grant funded by LeChase Construction, M&T Bank, Five Star Bank, ESL Federal Credit Union, and O’Connell Electric.
Thank you for your support in building a stronger, greater Rochester with Monroe One and United Way.
