IEP Services
Results of the Monroe One Parent Survey on Reopening of Schools will be integral to our continual process of meeting the needs of the whole child through these times.

Program Documentation
The Monroe One BOCES reopening plan addresses how it will document the programs and services offered and provided to students with disabilities, as well as communicate with parents.
- The programs and services offered by Monroe One are documented in the Service Guide posted on the Monroe One webpage.
- Individual services provided by Monroe One are documented through service contracts and on individual student IEPs.
- Programs and services are communicated to families through CSE meetings, on IEPs, and during parent teacher meetings.
- Changes to services, due to emergency orders, will be communicated to families and districts through letters prior to the start of the school year and as changes are necessary.

Communicating with Parents
The Monroe One BOCES reopening plan addressed meaningful parent engagement in the parent’s preferred language or mode of communication regarding the provision of services to his/her child to meet the requirements of the IDEA.

CPSE and CSE services
The BOCES reopening plan addresses collaboration between the committees on preschool special education (CPSE) and committees on special education (CSE) and program providers representing the variety of settings where students are served to ensure there is an understanding of the provision of services consistent with the recommendations on individualized education programs (IEPs), plans for monitoring and communicating student progress, and commitment to sharing resources.
- Monroe One does not provide any CPSE services.
- Monroe One administration and staff regularly collaborate with all District CSE to ensure clear communication and collaboration to ensure there is an understanding of the provision of services consistent with the recommendations on IEPs, plans for monitoring and communicating student progress, and commitment to sharing resources.
- A list-serve of all District Special Education administration is maintained for rapid email communication with all collaborating Districts.
- Additionally, weekly-monthly meetings are held with component district and NYSED representatives.
- Monroe One does not provide any CPSE services.

Technology
The Monroe One BOCES reopening plan must ensure access to the necessary accommodations, modifications, supplementary aids and services, and technology (including assistive technology) to meet the unique disability related needs of students.
- Monroe One is communicating with families regarding access to connectivity and technology (including assistive technology).
- When necessary, connectivity and technology are provided to families in the home environment to access distance learning.
- Individual student needs, as identified in the IEP, are provided to the fullest extent possible in a distance learning model.
