-
Will these days be taken from the employee’s Sick Days balance?
No, employees will be paid up to ten days at 2/3 their regular pay for full time employees or a part-time two-week equivalent up to maximum of $200 per day. These days are not deducted from your Sick Day balance and will be coded as CP for COVID Partial Pay on your timecard.
-
Do the days need to be taken consecutive (all at once)?
No, they can be taken at different times but employees are only given ten days total.
-
What if the employee needs more than 10 days for the reasons listed above?
- The employee will need to request a Leave of Absence for their family member after being out 5 days and expecting to be out longer. The Request for Leave Form - All Leaves (Form 1) in Frontline will need to be completed. The Benefits Specialist in HR will determine if the leave qualifies as a FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) leave, which would provide job and benefits protection for up to 12 weeks.
- The employee would continue to be paid the remaining five CP COVID Partial Pay days.
- Then, if the employee has Family Sick Days, the leave of absence will be paid or partially paid. If the employee doesn’t have Family Sick Days, the leave will be unpaid.
