    SELF: Strong Employment & Life Foundations

    Collaboration between the Strong Museum of Play, Monroe One BOCES, and the ARC of Monroe 

    The teachers for the BOCES and ARC classrooms collaborate to provide instruction to the students, develop internships, and place interns in internships that will address skill areas of need.

    Instruction focuses on life skills, independence, self-advocacy, and employability skills.

    • All internships are within the museum and change three times a year.
    • There is a fairly high level of independence required.
    • YMCA weekly trips for physical and community outings.
