The Imaging Center provides high-quality black & white and full color copies of documents. Documents can be submitted to the Imaging Center via hard copy or through an electronic file via our online "Drop Box", Email, flash drive or CD. Additional services include editing and clean-up of your documents, folding, stapling, producing booklets, 3-hole drilling, cutting, padding, laminating, and coil or tape binding. A new service available is the option to print posters or banners up to 36" wide from a PDF. The Imaging Center supplies 8.5 x 11" paper in over a dozen different colors from text weight to cardstock, as well as transparencies, labels, and 2, 3, and 4-part NCR. 8.5 x 14 (legal), and 11 x 17 (tabloid) options are also available.

The Model Schools service provides professional learning experiences to enhance student learning through the effective use of technology in the K-12 classrooms. Professional learning focuses on research based best practices. Services are provided by highly-qualified instructional technology specialists – teachers who know how to integrate technology into the classroom and actively engage learners. Through Model Schools, teachers, technology leaders and administrators enhance their technology literacy via regional workshops, webinars, online professional learning and customized in-district support. Model Schools also encourage networking, individual coaching and/or co-teaching in the classroom, working one-on-one with teachers outside the classroom and envisioning of future technology through regional events. Additional training is available upon request.

This is a mandatory service for districts participating in the Instructional Technology Service (519).
District Responsibilities:
- Communicate annual goals for instructional technology
- Lesson plans aligned to software/hardware purchased which align to specific curricular areas (state requirement)
- Provide appropriate space and equipment for professional learning/workshops when needed

The Office of School Improvement (OSI) facilitates professional learning aligned to state and/or district initiatives in order to positively impact student growth and development. This service provides districts an opportunity to collaborate professionally on standards-driven topics that complement district school improvement planning and activities. Collaboration enables districts to link instruction, assessment, and curriculum to the state and national standards by providing opportunities for professional learning and growth. Professional learning experiences and mandated professional development are aligned to the work of the NYSED and other relevant initiatives. In addition to professional learning, BOCES coordinates individual staff development opportunities for component districts. These events encompass unit design and interdisciplinary curriculum, focusing attention on increased success for all students. Activities that promote best practices, innovative instructional strategies, technology integration and interdisciplinary teaching are offered on a shared basis throughout the year.

- Facilitate regional leadership meetings (3-4 meetings per year) for English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Social/Emotional Learning; These meetings serve as the opportunity for School Improvement staff to share information from SCDN statewide meetings and from NYSED Curriculum and Instruction representatives. Other regional leadership meetings may be established based on regional requests (I.e. Elementary Principals forum, PD Directors meetings, etc.)
- Provide regional professional development/workshops on topics of interest to districts (facilitated by BOCES staff and/or outside consultants)
- Coordinate Shared Services and provide technical assistance and management of billing for aidable supports and services
Shared Services
Must be approved by the Director of Learning and School Improvement through the OSI reimbursement process. If approved, districts may receive support and aid on substitute reimbursements, teacher stipends, consultants, and resources. Please note: An approved list is generated each year by the Office of School Improvement.
Activities within Shared Services include:-
- Joint (or shared) professional learning events/opportunities initiated by Monroe One component districts
- In-district workshops, run by BOCES, district personnel, or consultant(s) that are considered a “spin-off” of one of the regional or shared initiating activities
- Out-of-district workshops that are run by BOCES
Enhanced Service

- Ten days of customized support
- Scope of the customized support is determined collaboratively between the Office of School Improvement staff and the district
- Examples of customized support include
- Coaching cycles (live or via videoconferencing), walk through visits

Instructional coaching offers support, feedback and intensive, individualized professional learning which supports increasing student achievement. Research shows that teachers' skill development markedly increases when opportunities for practice and feedback are regularly provided. Instructional coaching provides feedback regarding identified skills (data use, literacy, math, etc.) and their application in instructional settings. Professional development supplemented with modeling, practice, feedback and instructional coaching increase application at a rate of 75-90% accurate use in instructional settings.
