Environment: small space or H8, amount of people will vary, up front and behind-the-scenes work, some hallway travel

Description
Shelley’s Closet proudly serves the Monroe One community by providing clothing and shoes to those in need. This program also provides students with experience in a retail clothing environment.

Skills
- Work Readiness:
good hygiene/appearance/dress code, willing to work, socially-emotionally ready to work. - Time management/organizational skills:
on time, attend at least 30 min, attends when scheduled, gathers materials, completes assignment. - Communication:
advocates for self, communicates with supervisor, knows when to ask for help, asks for help. - Interpersonal/teamwork:
can work with a peer, will help boss and/or when asked. - Follow directions:
follows simple multi-step directions, takes direction from supervisor, occasionally takes direction from colleagues, follows routine/rules. - Problem solving:
identifies and solves common problems, identifies uncommon problems, accepts constructive criticism, checks work when completed, requires minimal support to handle challenges appropriately. - Safety:
self-control, follow safety rules/procedures, navigate school safely (transitions, hallways, sidewalks, etc), use materials safely.

- Following a basic routine.
- Greeting a supervisor/peer.
- Signing in/out.
- Locating and understanding assignment.
- Locating materials needed for assignment.
- Launder clothing.
- Sorting, folding, merchandising, tagging clothing, hanging clothing.
- Creating displays.
- Cleaning the store.
- Organizing merchandise.
- Helping customers navigate the store.
- Helping customers check out, etc.
