Emma is bilingual and writes about her Latin American heritage. Her books include picture books, A Sled for Gabo and Martina Has Too Many Tías (Gr. Pre-K-3), biographies, Pope Francis: Building of Bridges (Gr. K-3), and Marti's Song for Freedom (Gr.2-8), plus middle grade novels, Silver Meadows Summer and Secrets of the Silver Lion (Carmen Sandiego); and coming-of-age story Sofía Acosta Makes a Scene (Gr. 3-7). Her three presentations include Gr. K-1, 2-3, and 4-5.
