What is the Role of a Teacher Aide/ Paraeducator?
A Teacher Aide/Paraeducator is a critical member of our special education school model. Aides primarily assist the classroom teacher by performing non-instructional duties to support students with disabilities, assists the classroom teacher with classroom management, and monitors individual student behavior. Teacher Aides may be assigned to support the students in the classroom as a whole or may be assigned to provide one-to-one support to a particular student.

- No experience necessary.
- Training provided upon hire, annually, and throughout the year.
- 33.75 hours per week is considered full-time employment and provides eligibility for full time benefits.

- Tuition reimbursement available for college course work.

- 15 Sick Days and 2 Personal Days each year for full-time staff. If unused, days can be banked for later use or to cash out at retirement.

- Workday and work year follow the school day and school year calendar.
- Opportunity to work an additional six (6) weeks during the summer for additional compensation.
